There is nothing like a bit of porn and hypocrites to make your day particularly when it involves those self appointed, self important guardians of Indonesian Morality, the PKS party.
Widely renown for their slapstick comedy productions and who could forget the bumbling but brilliant Tifatul in his role as the love sick oaf in “I grasped the hand of the First Lady”. Amongst rather vocal and foaming denials, internet rumours, the short but squalid low budget movie preview suggest the hypercritical ones are moving into the more lucrative skin movies. The Drum is unable to confirm rumours that the company that produces Viagra withdrew their product placement due to poor exposure, as one noted blue movie critic said, he ain’t no Long John. PKS communications spokesmen have refused to confirm if the new feature creature film will be available on BlackBerry.
It was widely reported this week that a brand new Indonesian Porn Feature for all your mobile phones has been released. Apparently it stars an Indonesian sleazebag who bares a striking resemblance to Anis Matta, the secretary general of the Islam-based Prosperous Justice Party (PKS) and a deputy speaker in the House of Representatives (another PKS member) Horny little hypocrites, whoever they are.

Now the Drum wouldn’t know or recognize Anis clothed or unclothed as we tend to set minimal standards for friends and associates. Certainly we tend to avoid bigots and those who push their ignorance and hypocrisy onto to others.
Naturally Anis denies everything (therefore, one can only assume he has considered his words as Allah tends to be fairly harsh on liars). From pictures of Anis, the Drum would tend to support his claims. Its pretty hard to imagine anyone sober wanting to wangle dangles with him. This is not a handsome creature nor can one imagine his intellect being a chick magnet.
However, the question we have is why is his case being treated so different to Ariel? Specifically…..
- Why is he not in detention while the Police Investigate?
- Where are the moronic mobs demanding the death sentence?
- Where are the idiot judges complaining about how his private activities will ruin us all ?
- Where are the prosecutors demanding 5 years jail for some nookie in private?
Personally the Drum could not care less if Anis or any other politician spends their time rubbing naughties. In fact for the PKS a bit of nookie might help brighten their sanctimonious, bitter and twisted outlook on life and keep them out of the bedrooms of the rest of us.
What is a concern is the Hypocrisy in this case as compared to the young people lives these lowlifes wrecked in the Peterpan case.
BUT WAIT THERE’S MORE 
Another Lawmaker Iwan Fajarudin, a National Mandate Party (PAN) lawmaker from Purworejo Legislative Council has complained a video of him performing sexual acts with a woman has been circulating the internet. Iwan , who obviously is not the sharpest tool in the shed (although perhaps the biggest), complained that someone had stole the video from his computer and the woman involved was his wife.
Sorry Iwan, We all know the “someone stole it” defence does not apply, thanks to the Ariel case and porn is porn ask the PKI. You have to go to jail for the corruption of the nations youth. We all look forward to seeing you duck and weave as you reach for the soap and Karma claims its rightful fees for service.

In the broader vein, you can only laugh at these blokes! What rational being could take these creatures seriously? I honestly do feel sorry for Ariel and the girls and more than a little angry that such idiots can be allowed to wreck young kids lives. It was both criminal and amoral.
Still they certainly disprove the nonsensical theory that moving to a more religious based party would improve Indonesia, if anything they are much much worse than the others..

Is this getting any leverage on Metro/TV One? or is it a hoax? I would think that the serious journos and the partying dilletantes would be from the same gene pool, Blowfish/Xclub/Kelapa Gading so given one of their number was fortunate to escape the Ahmadiyah treatment at the Bandung trial and the tyaste of the prurient wider public for porn scandal why don’t they give this equal overkill to the celebrity scandal? Revenge and public appraisal of gross hypocrisy would be served in equal measure.

Hi Irma, I would not give up hope of a better parliament with Honorable and noble Indonesians. However, that means people with blogs, journalists and the media need to start taking responsibility and an interest in those we elect. Need to stop the “yes Pak, no Pak” just because someone occupies a high position and start demanding performance from the our elected representatives. If they don’t perform then they need to be exposed as the fools, liars and cheats they are. Just as important is the need to highlight, support and encourage those officials who are performing and serving their nation instead of them selves.
I hope for the best for Indonesia of course. In my mind, I really want something real for the society, infrastructure development, more public space, brilliant (not good enough) maintenance for public transport, library, protection for the child.. everything for the people. Not only for economic, politics, and other interests.. and more importantly: the need to build the society with dignity and integrity. If we treat people with dignity, they will do the same. If they’re not, what do you expect then?
Everyday we just told people this kind of bulls-kit that anyone already fed up with.. Government need to have really good management for its people, its city.. I dreamed about another Penalosa in Indonesia. Well, I won’t complain. I’ll do my best to serve Indonesia with all knowledge I have now–and I guess so do you.

I’m an Indonesian studying abroad and I’ve been following the Ariel case closely for a few months. The entire debacle was completely ridiculous and frankly embarrassing…
Then this Anis Matta news comes along and I don’t know whether to laugh or smash my head at the computer screen.
Since I’m currently not in Indonesia, can you tell me which media outlet has exposed these fresh and steamy political thrillers? I can only count the Jakarta Globe and tempointeraktif. So quiet compared to the Ariel-Luna case that my friend in Jakarta said was even shown on CNN. (Sigh!)
Thanks MAB, Frankly the Ariel case was embarrassing and for those caught up at as victims a tragic example of abuse of power and not just for Indonesians but anybody who considers himself rational and sane human being. In particular obscene to anyone who has spent more that five minutes in Indonesia can tell you 1/2 dozen places where an hour with a Camera will provide you will a list of sleazy notables,and “hangers on” catering to their base desires on the tax payer dollar (try a famous hotel starting with “A” in Jakarta for starters).

Thank you Oigal! I read the first link before but not the second one. I wholeheartedly agree with every word on the second article. I would loveee to hear Tifatul’s comments on Anis Matta’s sex tape (although to be fair it may not be him. I can’t find any links to Matta’s sex tape. Aha! Maybe Tifatul blocked everything!) SBY’s keeping mum as well. Laughable, since I remember watching a Youtube video where SBY called the Ariel-Luna tapes a “moral tragedy.” Oh SBY, an example of a moral tragedy would be you and your wife’s shady dealings as written on Wikileaks… Whoops!
Anyway, back to Ariel. I watched some of his court proceedings. If I was his lawyer I would have told him to pull a Gayus and bawl his eyes out in court. The judge would have given him a lighter sentence for showing ‘repentance.’ Sad/hilarious to see law degraded into a sinetron in Indonesia.

To me doesn’t really matter if it is Anis or not, although you would not have to be Sherlock to figure out what side of the fence I am sitting on. What raises my ire is the blatant difference in treatment of the two cases, even if we assume for a moment that Ariel case was worthy of trial where are the repugnant hounds baying for blood even before the trial, why is he not under detention whilst police investigate.
As for SBY, how can anyone take him seriously after he inserted himself into the Ariel case and yet remains silent now. Although he looked just plain silly (that’s the best spin one could say) commenting on the evils of Ariel when anyone could show him any number of places in Jakarta, Surabaya, Batan where the “connected” make money out of trafficking women and girls. For a President to pretend that a case like Ariel was worthy of his attention and for him to remain silent on the others ..is just well….
This case and the Ariel case remains a travesty of justice and rightly condemns the Indonesian Government as inept and morally bankrupt.
Maybe it has something to do with his allergy to belly-buttons. I haven’t seen the ‘Anis’-video but Luna’s belly-button is clearly visible in the ‘Ariel’ case.

Personally I don’t care moonflower. The question is why is the legal process so different in this case as compared to Ariel. Why is the President not on TV lamenting the poor children of Indonesia and demanding the law (?) must be upheld. Why isn’t the man (?) in detention while the police investigate same as Ariel? Where are the freakoids from the FPI baying for blood? Lastly, and most puzzling why do Indonesians tolerate these fools?
